CAREER STATS
MATT FERRIS OF XAVIER
on WisSports

Xavier's Matt Ferris had a stellar performance week after week for the Hawks during 2013, and the football coaches at Wisconsin high schools selected him as the Offensive Player of the Year in the state.

Ferris finished with 3,949 yards passing this season to eclipse the previous state record of yards thrown in one prep football season.

He also threw a state record 50 TD passes in 2013, despite playing only half of the Level 4 Playoff game at Slinger because of muscle spasms in his back, which made it hard for him to be mobile.

And he threw a state record 8 TDs in one prep game earlier this season, as the Hawks also set a school record 64 points in the game.

He is the son of Dan and Cindy Ferris of Appleton.
