The link below will take you to the latest policy regarding concussions as approved by the WIAA Board of Control.  The policy is always reviewed and presented by the WIAA Sports Medical Advisory Committee, which consists of physicians from across the state.

The National Federation of High Schools has been among the leaders in establishing playing rules to deal with concussions.  The NFHS implements guidelines for the management of a student-athlete who exhibiting signs, symptoms or behaviors consistent with a concussion.  A concussion is a traumatic injury to the brain.
